With such a proposal at a meeting of the Commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the direction of “Industry”, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov made. According to him, Chinese automakers continue to actively penetrate the Russian market. “To restore the balance, the ministry conducts a consistent indexation of utilsbor, but this is not enough, more rigid certification work is needed,” he said.

Alikhanov urged to especially monitor the correspondence of cars from serial parties. As an example, he cited trucks for which a similar analysis was previously introduced, which revealed “serious violations by models of three Chinese brands that simply cannot be allowed on the road.” Camps that sell in Russia cars that do not meet the requirements threaten measures up to the recall of the certificate.

At the beginning of 2024, certification of electric vehicles and hybrids was complicated. In the foreseeable future, mandatory certification of car tires can also be introduced in Russia – this is also the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This is done in order to force manufacturers to comply with the requirements for the maximum permissible level of hazardous substances in the composition of rubber. In the meantime, the requirements for tire safety are established by the technical regiment of the Customs Union, in which environmental norms are not prescribed.
