Voyah Free crossovers are the brand’s Russian bestsellers; the share of this model in the total sales of the Dongfeng premium brand reaches 83 percent. The idea of ​​localization is not new, but in 2022 the process could not be brought to its logical conclusion. Now there are no legal obstacles to assembly, but the OTTS certificate has been issued only for Voyah Free EV electric cars.

An important nuance: the document is valid for only a year (until December 28, 2025), although OTTS is usually issued for three years. The second unusual point is that we have a certified modification with the internal factory index H97Z, that is, this is a pre-restyling electric car. In China, such cars have not been sold for a long time, but in Russia, Chinese-made copies are still available at a price of 4.2 million rubles.

Now Lipetsk Motorinvest is assembling budget electric cars Evolute, but sales for 11 months of 2024 amount to about 1.4 thousand units. This is much less than the plan of 12 thousand cars announced almost two years ago.
