BYD’s new flagship electric crossover Great Tang will be shown on March 5 as part of an event dedicated to the brand’s latest technologies. Its main feature is a traction battery with increased energy density, which is capable of providing fast recharging.
The Great Tang is the production version of the Dynasty-D concept first shown at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. The model will be included in the Dynasty line. The length of the car is 5263 mm, the wheelbase is 3130 mm. The size of the car is close to such models as Denza N9 and Li Auto L9.
The interior is designed according to a 2+2+3 layout with three rows of seats. There are three large displays on the front panel; there is also a separate media system screen for second-row passengers and a built-in refrigerator. The second row seats are separate and adjustable.
Great Tang is built on the BYD Super e‑platform with 1000-volt architecture. The vehicle is equipped with a Blade 2.0 lithium iron phosphate traction battery with increased energy density that provides ultra-fast charging.

In the rear-wheel drive version, BYD’s new flagship is equipped with an electric motor producing 402 hp. and can travel up to 950 km on one charge. The total output of electric motors for the all-wheel drive version is 784 hp. This Great Tang can travel 850 km on a single charge.
The DiPilot 300 suite of electronic driver assistance systems supports automatic lane changing on highways and in urban environments. Sales of Great Tang on the Chinese market should start before the end of April, prices will be announced later. It is expected that the cost of the model will exceed 400 thousand yuan (4.5 million rubles).
