The Changan dealership found that the metal frame of the driver’s seat was damaged during the accident, but was not broken into two pieces. Based on the characteristic breaks in the metal, we can conclude that the upper part of the seat was broken off after an accident: according to preliminary data, this was done for the insurance company. The Russian office of Changan continues to investigate the broken chair. Meanwhile, in China, the controversial seats were impacted at a speed of 25 km/h, and no fractures were visible in photographs and videos.
