Jaecoo postponed the Russian debut of the smallest crossover

Model [Jaecoo J5](https://motor.ru/news/jaecoo-j5-russia-24-04-2025.htm) initially intended to present at the beginning of this year. Later, the deadline was shifted for the summer, then to the fourth quarter. Now they promise to present a novelty in the spring of 2026 and under another index – J6, Autovzglyad reports with reference to representatives of the Chinese brand. The letter designation was decided to change in order to “unify the model range.”

J6 will be the smallest and probably the cheapest in the Jacoo line. In size, it is comparable to Toyota C-HR: the length, width and height are 4.38, 1.86 and 1.65 meters, respectively, at a 2.62-meter wheelbase. At the same time, he has more road clearance than the “senior” J7, and is equal to 190 millimeters.

Judging by the Russian site, the motor will be one-this is a 1.5-liter boost engine. The power is not indicated, but it is likely that we are talking about the Cheri aggregate with a capacity of 147 horsepower. The pair is a variator.

Earlier it was reported that a 1.6-liter turbo engine for 150 forces may also enter the gamma. Whether the Russian J6 will eventually have this option is still unknown.

In addition, JaEcoo spoke about the prospects of two more new products – the J3 IJ10 crossovers, who debuted in July in Indonesia. Perhaps they will get to our market, but so far the final decision on them has not been made. By the way, in China itself they will appear only in 2026.
