KIA prepared the frame pickup Tasman for heavy off -road

At the car dealership in Seoul, the Weekender modification debuted. So far, this is a concept car, but Kia Khabib chief designer made it clear that if Australia shows a certain interest, the company will consider the possibility of serial production. An interesting nuance: an off -road Tasman lost its unpainted overlays above the wings, and there is reason to believe that there will be no this “chip” on ordinary pickups.

Truck for Zumers: what was surprised by the new Kia Tasman

In Australia, Kia Tasman pickups with the traditional decoration of wings have already been shot. Karim Habib confirmed that the company “should be flexible, study and understand [отзывы рынка]. We played with the idea of contrasting wings. We will continue [экспериментировать] in the future”. The specialist admitted that Kia’s goal was “to create something that is not like what is.” With this approach there are risks, something does not like the audience, and the company is aware of this.

As for the Weekender special version, the refinement is traditional: “mud” 35-inch tires, an expanded track, a suspension elevator, adding a winch and accessories on the roof. A competitor of such a Kia Tasman can be Ford Ranger Raptor, but Koreans are in no hurry to expand the motor gamut. The chef-designer of the brand boasted that sales in South Korea are quite positive, and there are many positive reviews.

The oldest Chevrolet model can be replaced

Kia Tasman sales geography means that the new pickup will have to compete mainly with Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux. Deliveries to North America were doubtful even before Trump’s duties, and now one can only dream of expanding the range of mass models in the United States.
