Specifications of the KGM Tivoli crossover for Russia have been declassified

The SsangYong brand is returning to the Russian market, but with a different name – as a result of the reorganization, it was renamed KGM. The supply of Korean cars to Russia is organized by the Rex Motors company; sales of the Tivoli model will be launched in the first quarter. Rex Motors spoke about the specifications of the crossover for our market and revealed details about the equipment.

Tivoli has been in service since 2015 – the model appeared even before SsangYong came under the control of the chemical concern KG Group and did not change its name to KGM. Tivoli was even sold in Russia from 2016 to 2019, then sales were curtailed. Now he is returning.

The model will be offered to Russians with a one and a half liter turbo engine producing 163 horsepower, which works in conjunction with a six-speed Aisin automatic transmission, front-wheel drive only. The crossover has 178 mm ground clearance and a 50-liter tank. The automaker claims average fuel consumption in the combined cycle at seven liters per 100 kilometers.

Tivoli equipment in Russia is promised to include LED headlights, LED front and rear fog lights, electric heated mirrors and turn signals, dual-zone climate control, heated steering wheel and front seats. It will also have front and rear parking sensors, a rear view camera and six airbags. The multimedia system is Russified, with support for CarPlay and Google Android Auto.

The crossover has seven electronic assistants: traction control, exchange rate stability system, rollover protection system, emergency braking assistance system, hill start assist system, emergency braking warning system, and a descent assist system.

Russians will be offered three trim levels to choose from: City, Dream and Icon. The cars will be delivered from the plant, which is located in South Korea. The warranty will be five years.

In addition to Tivoli, the KGM brand will bring other models to Russia, namely Torres, Korando and Rexton. The main bet will be made on Torres, which, according to unofficial data, will cost approximately 4.6 million rubles. The starting price of Tivoli, according to insiders, will be 3.4 million rubles, while Korando and Rexton will be valued at 3.9 and 5.6 million rubles, respectively.
