The future battery modification of the crossover took part in the British Championship Hillclimb and became a winner in its class, setting a record for high -cross -country cars. It took a little more than thirty-one seconds to overcome the route in Shelshel-Uolsh-this is four seconds faster than the previous result. The car was led by a professional racer Gabriela Zhilkova, playing for Porsche in the Formula-E series.
The battery version of Porsche Cayenne has not yet been officially presented, but has already managed to declare itself in competitions. According to The Drive, the prototype of the new electric crossover unexpectedly went to the start of one of the stages of the British series British Championship Hillclimb. The race took place on the legendary Shelly-Uolsh highway, where the electric car confidently went around the opponents in his class and demonstrated the best result among SUVs.

Experimental Cayenne performed in a camouflage livery, stylized under electrical topics. On the back, Cayenne inscriptions made in characteristic neon colors were placed. At the wheel of the car was the racer Gabriela Zhilkova, playing for the Porsche team in the Formula-E championship. She managed to go up to Shelshel-Uolsh in 31.28 seconds, surpassing the previous record for crossovers for more than four seconds.
Last year, Porsche changed the course about the electrification of the Cayenne family. Initially, in Stuttgart they planned to abandon internal combustion engines in almost all models, with the exception of the sports car 911, believing that by 2030, up to eighty percent of the market would take electric carriers. However, the market reality was different. Now the manufacturer intends to continue the development of the current generation of Cayenne with the V8 motor, which will become part of the updated brand strategy.
