The first prototype of Lada Niva Travel is based on an SUV in the Luxe configuration, but the front-line sample resembles E-Niva. However, LED headlights and foglights are not yet available: the usual “halogenes” of the old -style are installed. As for the 1.8 engine, we are talking about an eight-valve version of the VAZ-21179 unit, adapted for longitudinal installation.

At the factory, they tried to instill in the motor a diesel character with solid thrust at low speeds.
