Great Wall will get rid of one of the subsidiaries in Russia

The Drom.ru portal found out from the dealers that representatives of Haweil Motor Rus confirmed at the recent conference the departure of Ora from our country. This Great Wall electric submarine is represented by one model-Hatchback Ora 03. Ora has been entered the Russian market a year and a half ago, but since then, new electric vehicles have not been imported: all the cars sold in 2024 and 2025 were produced in 2023.

According to insiders, the Hawryil Motor Rus was informed sellers that there would be no new Ora supplies, and Mark would leave Russia. However, there were no official notifications yet. Ora sales were modest: last year, 487 “official” electric vehicles were registered, in the first quarter of this year – another 133 cars. Now the brand has 59 dealers, so sales in recalculation to the car dealership are scanty.

Sales of electric vehicles in our country fall in our country: in the first quarter of 2025, demand has collapsed three times. Ora failures are explained by expensive loans and a weak adaptation of an electric car to Russian realities: in winter, the battery quickly discharged. Prices are also not broken: only last spring Ora 03 fell to 3.5-3.7 million rubles.

Ora has already been called in the list of Chinese brands that can leave Russia. However, farewell to this sub -brand Great Wall does not mean the termination of the development of another “green” brand – Wey. Annoyed consistent hybrids over the first quarter dispersed 571 copies.
